Bound Prince

My boring and sparsely decorated old room needs an overhaul, with the hodge podge of several furniture pieces that had been handed down to me by my well meaning siblings already falling apart quite literally around me, and everything else looking well worn and oh so old. If there was only one thing that I could throw away among all the furniture in the room, it would be the wardrobe that now refuses to fully close, owing to the fact that one of its doors has broken free of the screws that have pitifully held it to its main frame. That closet alone has irritated me so much recently that I cannot help but find fault in everything else that I see; although most of the other furniture in my room are in good working condition, my biggest complaint about them is that they do not match, which happens to be a very big deal with me. Beyond the simple aesthetic aspect for my complaints is the more practical wish of getting even just one good piece of furniture such as the corner cabinet I recently saw on display at a shop that would make for a good storage cabinet in my room with its size and proportions just right. For sure, it is going to take me some time to earn money for the sturdy piece of furniture that I saw, and while I hope the day will come someday soon when I can finally get one like it, it might serve me well to go through the boxes of possessions that I have and see if there are things I can give away or throw to ease the mess that is my room.
